Biography and What Famous For:
Ayesha Takia started her career in the entertainment industry at a very young age, appearing in commercials and music videos. Her breakthrough came with Falguni Pathak’s popular music video “Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye,” which gained her widespread recognition. She also appeared alongside actor Shahid Kapoor in the “I am a Complan Boy! I’m a Complan Girl!” advertising campaign.

She made her Bollywood film debut in 2004 with the action thriller Taarzan: The Wonder Car, for which she won the Filmfare Best Debut Award and the IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year (Female). Although Taarzan: The Wonder Car was her debut release, she had actually signed Socha Na Tha before it, which was delayed and released later.

Takia quickly established herself in Bollywood with her fresh face, expressive eyes, and natural acting ability. While she starred in several commercial films, it was her critically acclaimed performance in Nagesh Kukunoor’s 2006 drama Dor that earned her significant praise. In Dor, she played a young widow, Meera, a role that was a stark contrast to her more glamorous previous characters, showcasing her versatility and depth as an actress. For Dor, she won the Screen Award for Best Actress (Critics).

Another significant film in her career was Wanted (2009), an action film starring Salman Khan, which became a major commercial success.

After her marriage to Farhan Azmi in 2009, Ayesha Takia largely stepped away from her acting career to focus on her family. She made a brief return to television as a host for the musical reality show Sur Kshetra in 2012.

Ayesha Takia is famous for her successful Bollywood debut, her critically acclaimed performance in Dor, and her role in the blockbuster Wanted. She is also known for her early presence in popular music videos and commercials.
